Since my last post, I have been to Dr. Asa Andrew twice so here's an update.
Last week Dr. Asa perceived that my immune system was down. I had been feeling a little under the weather so it was interesting he picked up on that w/out me telling him. It was a pretty routine visit where he did a lot of muscle/organ testing to see what was going on, but he was concerned about my immune system so he prescribed a tablet for my thymus gland. Unfortunately the gal who gets the supplements accidentally gave me thyroid balance instead. It turns out she misread Dr. Asa's handwriting. Thankfully the thyroid balance won't harm you if you take it and don't need it. Your body just passes what it doesn't need as with most supplements. Anyway, definitely make sure you double check with the dr. about what supplements you are supposed to be getting that day.
After that appointment, I was feeling great and then slowly my right hip/lower back started giving me excruciating pain. I think all of this pain goes back to moving all of those boxes a month ago. I could barely get up in the morning. I have no idea what I did to cause the flare up so I saw Dr. Asa again a couple of days ago. He spent a lot of time manipulating my lower back, hip, knees, and legs. I actually walked out of there pain free. I told him I was planning on skipping Jazzercise that day, but he said I could go ahead and go. He said that my whole pelvis area had been rotated so now it was back to where it should be.
I also talked with him about the possibilities of having more kids. Mark & I would love to have more, but my health has kept us from trying to have more. Dr. Asa said that he thinks I'm in great shape and that he doesn't think it would be a problem. We are going to do a blood test in November, see what the results are and then go from there. He seemed pretty excited for us, if not a bit surprised. There would be quite a gap between our youngest and a new baby in the house.
Overall, I felt the visits went very well. I was in and out of there in 2 hours each time. That included rebounding for 8 minutes, about a 25 minute foot detox, picking up my supplements downstairs and the time spent with Dr. Asa Andrew. I still think they need to hire at least one more person to check people out so that process could go quicker for the patients. At least they seem to be working on getting more efficient. Dr. Asa also has Dr. Scott and Dr. Karen working with him so that seems to have helped a lot. Dr. Asa himself seemed a lot more well rested and relaxed. I guess after a month long "working" vacation, most people would be more relaxed! Kudos to him. He works hard and deserves a little R & R.

A political side note...ok, rant So the feds have slated $250 billion to help the banks. Where is the other $450 billion going to go??? More wooden arrows for kids??? As my Dad said, "they are going to screw us all." He was right. They are. Too bad those in Congress didn't listen to their constituents.
And as for the elections that are forthcoming, well I see that Candidate A served in the US Senate for years, has not gone to a church that spews anti-American sentiment but instead has fought for his country he loves, has foreign policy experience, in general believes in keeping our taxes down, is pro choice when it comes to education and your healthcare options, and is willing to work with other parties to solve problems.
Candidate B went to a church for about 20 years that spews anti-American rhetoric and fosters racism. Check out the YouTube videos on this and see it for yourself...scary! You can't tell me that hearing such sermons for 20 years doesn't affect how you think! (Oh and before I'm called a racist like I have been by my own neice for not endorsing this politician, let me just say that both black and white are in my family tree and I love them all, even the young neice, so that just doesn't hold where I'm concerned.)He has hung out with a "former" domestic terrorist who tried to take out a judges family!, has ties to a questionable group accused of massive voter fraud called ACORN, has not kept his promises to his state when elected to the US Senate, will tax the bejeebies out of small business, will take away your choices in healthcare and will ultimately put this country on a faster track to socialism all under the guise of "fairness".
Let me ask you...how fair is it to work hard/smart all of your life just to have the government come in and take your hard earned money away and give it to those who haven't worked as hard/smart as you??? It's what the government just did by authorizing the $700 billion bailout. How many of us are really happy with that decision where we are all going to pay for greedy banks' risky business? It's a Robin Hood mentality. It destroys the idea that if you work hard and smart you can achieve your dreams. Now if you work hard and smart expect to be forced to pay for the stupid mistakes of others who didn't know what they were doing and/or took on too much risk. Expect more of this type of thing from Candidate B.
To me, the answer is clear. Unfortunately one is a very smooth talker and many people are being wowed over by that instead of the issues. No matter who wins on Nov 4th, my sole comfort is that God places the rulers and kingdoms in place on this earth for His purposes. Hang tight to Him and you will be okay no matter who is elected.
Off to enjoy my homeschooling freedoms with my kids while I still have the choice of doing so.

i see you watch fox too....
The terrorist, was a 60's radical that he was in non profit with, and had little contact with him outside of those functions. His rev. was a bit wierd, but so Huckabee, who endorsed canidate A, and more or less said, New orleans got what it deserved, due to blacks and gays.
Acorn, that ones funny. They hire people go out and get people to register. ACORN is REQUIRED by law to turn over EVERY registration card it recieves, so yeah, some people are going to put down false information because they think its funny. so why are the republicans crying fowl?
Candidate B also is offer significant tax beaks for anyone that makes less than 250K a year, and no taxes for retired peeps that make 50,000 or less.
Canidiate A wants to meddle in peoples lifes, and repeal rowe vs wade, and make a consitutioanl ammendment keeping part of our population from being happily married. so, you tell me... who's right?
Michael,
No, I don't watch Fox, I read it online! Ha! Ha! Sorry, I couldn't resist. In all seriousness, though, I do read both sides...Fox and CNN. CNN used to be the home page on my computer. I obviously read your reply and posted it. You talk about Candidate A meddling in people's lives...what about Candidate B's healthcare plan? I believe in CHOICE in my healthcare...period. Candidate B does not. I believe in CHOICE for my kids' education. Cand B does not. And you don't think that's meddling??? Give me a break! If Cand B gets elected you will see more government meddling in your lives than you even dreamed of, especially if his party also takes Congress!
And as far as Cand B's promises to this country, ask the people of Illinois if he has kept any promises he made to them in his Senate bid...I have and the replies are interesting. Why don't you ask them?
I lived in AZ most of my life and so I am familiar with Cand A. He is not perfect and I do not agree with him in all of the issues. However, he also has not listened to anti-American hatred for the past 20 years at his church! Do you really want someone who listened to such rhetoric as the President of the greatest nation on this earth? I don't and I don't care what political party they are affiliated with. Think hard on that... a person's core beliefs always come out when they get the power... At least Candidate A served and fought for this country. Cand B surely can't say that while he's listening to American hatred spewing from the pew! If he was a true patriot, why didn't he stand up in the middle of church and say, hey, this isn't right? Well, maybe b/c his core belief is the same as Rev Wright?!
As far as Roe vs. Wade, I don't agree with it and never will, especially as a Christian. Abortion in my book is murder, period. I know a lot of people don't agree with that and that's okay. I have the right to say what I believe and I will as long as this country allows free speech. I have known a few women who have had abortions for various reasons and they have all regretted it. It's something they have to live with for the rest of their lives. It's a decision that ends a life and can't be reversed. It's sad that our country thinks abortion is okay when at it's very core it is murder. Thankfully for the women that I personally have known who have had abortions, they are christians and know they have a gracious God who has forgiven them. Thankfully there are organizations like Mercy Ministries that can help these girls and women make decisions concerning unwanted pregnancies. They even help place these babies for adoption instead of killing them through an abortion. Like I said before, I believe in choice. Why shouldn't the babie's get a choice?
We can argue the talking points all day. I've said my piece on my blog. We can agree to disagree. If you don't agree with that, then, well, start your own blog. :) It's still a free country so you can do that... at least for now. Have a good one...
