Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Santa (via the relatives) was kind to us this year and brought a trampoline! The weather has been pretty good so we have all been enjoying it...even Mom & Dad. We figure all of that jumping is good for our lymphatic systems. At least that's our excuse!
Here's a quick update of my latest visit to The Center for Natural Medicine. We did the usual foot detox and I noticed Drake, my son, had a lot of heavy metals and liver toxins in his water. When Dr. Asa Andrew saw him he stated that his liver was indeed congested. Drake's bloodwork also indicated that he has high cholesterol of the "bad" variety. Drake was prescribed silver balance for his cough, liver balance and cholesterol balance.
Isabella also had pretty toxic looking water from the foot bath. Dr Asa prescribed liver balance for her as well.
Ashlyn's vitamin D levels were low so she is now on a Vitamin D supplement. Ashlyn also had a pretty good fall the night before and has a serious bruise on her leg. Dr. Karen looked at her and made some chiropractic adjustments in that area. Dr. Karen also adjusted the other kids as well.
Then it was my turn and I was a mess. I went to bed the night before with a lot of sinus pressure and congestion. I woke up and the pressure was so bad my gums were hurting. My sweet husband bought me a Neti pot for Christmas so I used it twice during the day before my dr.'s visit. After the first use, it relieved about 50% of the pressure.
I have also been coughing and have been getting headaches radiating from the base of my skull. Dr. Asa Andrew gave me a chiropractic adjustment and then also applied pressure to my skull while I breathed in through my nose and out through my mouth. During my last visit, he did the same thing and was adjusting the bone plates in my head. He relieved a lot of sinus pressure then and it worked again this time as well. Dr. Asa gave me a special blend of bacteria balance to help with my "cold".
My husband was with me and we briefly talked finances with Dr. Asa as this has been a costly endeavor for us. The dr. was very understanding and asked how he could help. I mention this so you all know that he is willing to work with you. You just need to keep the communication flowing.
After the dr. visit, I had a metabolic test with Vanessa. We discovered that my metabolic rate is higher than normal, indicating a possible problem with my thyroid. This is not surprising since there are thyroid issues in my extended family. I'm also not burning as many calories at rest as I should be.
Well that is it for 2008. Tomorrow morning I am off to the hospital to get my bloodwork done, then coming home to spend the day with my family.
Have a safe and happy New Year!
Debbie
